A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is an exhaust after-treatment component designed to capture particulate matter (PM) from diesel engine emissions.
Unlike catalytic converters that mainly reduce gaseous pollutants, DPFs physically trap soot particles through a porous wall-flow filter structure and remove accumulated soot through regeneration.
DPF systems are widely used in passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, buses, construction equipment and other diesel-powered applications.
